Education

• Medical School: Dr. Patel graduated Cum Laude and earned a BS degree in Biology from Georgetown University in 1993. Thereafter, he attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and earned his MD degree.
• Residency: Dr. Patel has Completed internal medicine residency, followed by nephrology at Georgetown University Medical Center in 2004.
• Fellowship: Dr. Patel has Completed hypertension fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in 2004.
• Board Certification: Dr. Patel has been with the Virginia Nephrology Group since completing his training in 2004 and is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. He is an Associate Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
