Biography
Victor Lorica, MD, FASN, is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines; completed residency training in internal medicine at SUNY at Buffalo; and completed fellowship training in nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
At Virginia Nephrology Group, Dr. Lorica provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on chronic kidney disease and hypertension. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University.
Dr. Lorica’s care philosophy is grounded in partnership: “I believe that the patient is an active partner in his/her health and that my role is to guide them to better health with better lifestyle choices and less medications.”
He is fluent in Tagalog and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology. Outside of medicine, he plays golf with his son and travels to see his grandchildren.
